I made this orange fried chicken recipe recipe tonight and it was BANGIN'!!!! I made a few modifications: I used clementines since that is all I had in the orange citrus family, it calls for 2/3c sugar so I used less than 1/3 and wouldn't hesitate to use honey next time instead and I did not deep fry. I used sesame oil and just lightly covered the bottom of the pot. When they were done, I put in a oven safe dish and stuck them in the over at 425 along with my roasted green beans (tossed w...ith sesame oil, garlic powder, S&P and red pepper flakes) for 7 minutes. My broccoli was turning moldy so I went with the green beans and they came out crunchy and flavorful and a perfect side dish! So not the simplest of recipes but not hard and REALLY yummy!! Chicken came out tender and so yummy. I also served with some white rice and sprinkles sesame seeds on top. You can turn down the heat a little if your kids don't like spice but I thought it was just right!
