So, I'm not sure that this strikes any hero chords with any women, but i can say if you were a boy growning up in the '70s this guy was probably a big deal to you. You most likely built ramps and jumped your bikes over whatever you could think of, including your friend's bodies. I still have a scar from the serrated edge of my bike peddle pealing off a few inches of skin from my shin bone on a bad landing. My best friend Jeff owned the Evel stun cycle and it was awesome. Watching this documentary, I was kind of surprised to find it really effecting me, but it should be no wonder, really. The film pulls no punches, Evel Knievel is shown to be the world-sized asshole that he became. But, still it reminded me of being a kid and having a hero, and that is pretty cool.
