This fascinating video (poor quality - but stick with it to the end) demonstrates laminar flow. It is also a great visualisation of what David Bohm called implicate order. Bohm mentions this device in his 1987 book Science, Order and Creativity. It is not an example of implicate order as such, but it does get across the idea.
