292,000 net additional jobs in December; unemployment rate 5% at year end.

The December jobs report is full of great news for the end of 2015. In addition to 292,000 new jobs in December, the prior period adjustments added 50,000 more jobs for October and November.

Job gains occurred in many industries. These are not part-time jobs given to people who would prefer to work full-time.
