I have been reflecting on those "empirical" things we now accept as truth that could not be measured or analyzed in the not-too-distant past (i.e. quarks, photons, gene-mapping, RH factors, quantum electrodynamics, etc). These are things that could have been easily passed off as non-existent, magical, or demonic by the religious mind, unadept skeptic, or mystic.

With that in mind, do you think it is possible for a truth to exist that does not currently appeal to our reasoning or empiricism?
